9/1/03 - Terry is back from  Alaska.  Here is a brief rundown of his trip:

Satuday, August 23- Former float rating student, Bill Cassano, flew up from Florida for the Ultimate Cross Country!!!!  We did some serious Alaska/mountain/float flying for 4 hours and then headed south, spending the night on Hasselborg Lake.

Sunday, August 24-  A day of fun flying with stops at Black Bear Lake on Prince of Wales Island, fuel at Ketchikan and on to Humpback Lake for the night.

Monday, August 25-  Trout for breakfast.  Depart for Prince Rupert, BC, to clear Canadian Customs then on to Tabor Lake at Prince George, BC, for the night .  Nice cabins and restaurant right on the lake.

Tuesday, August 26-  Flew from the lake to the land aerodrome in Prince George for fuel but weathered in the rest of the day.

Wednesday, August 27-  Headed south and entered the USA at Oroville, WA continuing on for Sandpoint, ID.

Thursday, August 28-  Tried to fly across Glacier National Park but forest fires and convective activity in conjunction with 11,000 foot terrain indicated a diversion to the south.  Spent the night in Miles City, MT.

Friday, August 29-  More weather decisions.  Overnight in Newton, IA.

Saturday, August 30-  More weather decisions, lots more, with an overnight in Marion, IL.

Sunday, August 31-  All the way home to Cross City!!!  54 total flying hours and an unbelievable trip for Bill.  Ask about the Ultimate Float Rating and Ultimate Cross Country!!
